WHAT WE DO
At HB Leather, we provide innovative solutions for the modern working executive and corporates by designing bespoke, timeless, stylish and functional pieces that are perfectly stitched. While leather and canvas are our forte, we also use a variety of other materials. In this era when cookie cutter merchandise is the way to go, our niche is in working with the client to design and create bespoke and monogrammed merchandise that leaves the recipient feeling esteemed. Women represent 90% of our employees. In today’s fast paced and competitive world, HB Leather is your trustworthy and reliable partner. We provide an end-to-end full-scale manufacturing solution that includes a range of services. This gives us the rare treasure of journeying with our clients through the entire production process, from the design, logo/brand incorporation and stitching, to packaging and delivery.
ACHIEVEMENTS
In our two and a half years of business we have managed to make quite an impact and have celebrated a number of milestones.
● We have grown and as a result have had to move from our initial 200 square feet space into a 1000 square feet larger premises with expansive grounds,
● We have tripled the number of full-time artisans, and have expanded our clientele to incorporate corporates in addition to our valued individual clients.
● Last year, we partnered with a region-wide bank to design and produce customised gift hampers with a variety of leather products for over 120 customers.
● All our customers are return clients.
● We also had the privilege of being sponsored by one of our corporate clients to showcase our products at the 2023 Changamka Festival, an annual event organised by the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM).
● In March 2024, we had the chance to showcase our products during the 2024 International Women’s Day event sponsored by The Nation Media Team at the Windsor Hotel.
● In August 2024, HB Leather was nominated for the Kayana MSME Awards and emerged second runners up under the category – Kayana Choice Awards.
● Our Founder and Creative Director, Lucy Mwangi received full scholarship to participate in the 2024 Bizzell Xcelherate Entrepreneurship Challenge.
● Lastly, our founder and creative director, Lucy Mwangi, had the honour of being one of nine business women selected by Ecobank to be profiled for the 2024
